Qiddiya City at Esports World Cup 2025

At the 2025 Esports World Cup in Riyadh, DDX turned Qiddiya City’s bold vision for tourism into an experience you could actually play. 

Designed for a gamer-savvy audience, the activation brought Qiddiya’s future-focused story to life through immersive, tech-driven interactions that rewarded exploration and discovery.

Over fifty days, the Qiddiya City Activation became a playground of the future, inviting visitors to explore, compete and connect with the city’s ambitious offerings. Aqua Arabia made waves as guests jumped onto surfboards and captured Instagram-ready thrills. Nearby, players took on Predaplants AR Combat, diving into fast-paced augmented reality battles. Falcon Flights VR brought the adrenaline of Six Flags Qiddiya to life, sending guests soaring through a virtual sky and leaving them with shareable, cinematic keepsakes.

Visitors were also invited on a VR journey through the Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Stadium, exploring the venue’s futuristic design and experiences long before its opening day. Throughout the space, LED screens told the story of Qiddiya City in motion through digital artworks by Saudi multimedia artist RexChouk, whose work also featured on exclusive merchandise.

By the end of the showcase, 41,250 visitors had stepped into the world of Qiddiya City, with 8,660 players actively engaging in the interactive challenges, and more than 38,000 branded items across 30 custom designs became tangible reminders of the experience.
