The Esports World Cup 2025 Opening Ceremony kicked off on July 10th in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, launching 48 days of global competition with a broadcast designed to match the scale of the event. Done+Dusted partnered with MDLBEAST, Possible, and Tait Towers to deliver the live broadcast, ensuring the spectacle reached audiences on Twitch and streaming platforms worldwide.

The evening featured an unforgettable mix of gaming legends and chart-topping talent. Post Malone headlined with a show-stopping performance that ’metaphorically’ brought the roof down, as the massive kinetic designed by Wieder Design flew from 80ft above stage down to just 8ft. The lineup also included Dino of SEVENTEEN, Alesso, Duckwrth, and Telle Smith and many of the most famous gamers on the planet and esports fans a cultural crossover moment that rivaled the scale of traditional sporting ceremonies.

For the 2,000 fans in the venue, the experience was described as electric, with many refusing to leave even after the confetti had fallen.
