Laureus World Sport Awards 2026
Done+Dusted has produced the Laureus World Sports Awards 22 times since its inception in 2000, helping shape one of sport’s most prestigious global celebrations for more than two decades.
Broadcast worldwide, including on NBC, Peacock, and TVE, the 2026 ceremony took place live from Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid, bringing together 350 guests for a night honoring the athletes and moments that defined the year in sport. D+D led production, creative, and broadcast for the show, delivering both the live 90-minute ceremony and a 102-minute post-produced version for international distribution.
This year’s ceremony marked a first for hosts Novak Djokovic and Eileen Gu, who brought a fresh, athlete-led energy to the awards — sports icons celebrating sports icons. The night featured guest presenters including Luis Figo, Simone Biles, and Cafu, with winners and attendees including Lamine Yamal, Toni Kroos, Aryna Sabalenka, and Carlos Alcaraz.
The result was a polished global broadcast that continued D+D’s long-running partnership with Laureus and its legacy of turning the world’s biggest sporting achievements into a world-class live television event, while supporting the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation that helps millions of disadvantaged children worldwide through the power of sport.
