Joy Awards 2026

On January 17, 2026, Done+Dusted returned to Riyadh’s ANB Arena to co-produce Joy Awards 2026 — our fifth year shaping the region’s most ambitious night of entertainment. Broadcast live across MBC TV channels and streamed globally on Shahid for MBC Group, in partnership with General Entertainment Authority, the brief was clear: deliver a world-class awards show that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the biggest international ceremonies. The result was a spectacular, broadcast-driven cultural moment watched by approximately 3.8 billion viewers worldwide, generating 26.1B+ potential online impressions and billions of streams and social conversations.

As co-producing partners, Done+Dusted led production, broadcast, and creative in collaboration with MBC, Stufish, Blackskull and Possible. From a lavender carpet arrival punctuated by drone choreography and fireworks to show-stopping performances by Katy Perry, Robbie Williams, Liz Mitchell, Il Divo, Angham, Marcin, Jude Kofie, and a theatrical tribute to Syrian drama “Ya Sham,” the night blended global icons with regional storytelling. The opening moment — Katy Perry performing beneath a moving tiger-shaped drone formation — set the tone: cinematic, technically ambitious, and culturally resonant.

The most complex creative challenge came late in the process: the addition of a 20-minute Syrian drama tribute closing the show. Initially debated, it ultimately became one of the evening’s defining highlights — proof that bold programming choices can elevate a live broadcast from polished to unforgettable. With 1,000 guests in attendance and billions watching at home, Joy Awards 2026 reaffirmed its position as a cornerstone of the region’s entertainment calendar — and underscored Done+Dusted’s ability to deliver scale, spectacle, and storytelling on a truly global stage.
