Done+Dusted once again joined forces with Epic Games, this time for the highly anticipated State of Unreal 2024 showcase. In supporting Epic for the third consecutive year, our goal was to enhance the unveiling of Unreal Engine 5.4, the newest iteration of the cornerstone 3D software utilized by industry giants ranging from Fortnite creators to Hollywood visual effects maestros. Tasked with elevating the production quality to match the significance and complexity of the content, we focused on enriching everything from audio and lighting to pacing and presentation. With an emphasis on pixel-perfect and color-accurate translation of game play onto screens and broadcast, our team meticulously crafted an evergreen set that not only met but exceeded Epic's exacting standards. This dedication to precision and excellence resulted in an immersive experience for both in-person attendees and the vast online audience.

Leveraging advanced camera systems, including railcams and jibs, we created dynamic broadcast visuals without inflating costs. Strategic placement of cameras and backstage equipment optimized speaker eye lines and accommodated an array of complex playback solutions. Notable highlights of the show included the world premiere of Marvel's 1943: Rise of Hydra trailer, real-time in-engine demonstrations featuring iconic characters like Captain America and Black Panther, and exclusive gameplay footage of Dune: Awakening. With a focus on technical excellence and innovation, Done+Dusted delivered a truly unforgettable experience, setting a new standard for live event production in the gaming industry.
