Epic Games: State of Unreal 2026
For the sixth consecutive State of Unreal, Epic Games partnered with Done+Dusted to transform its flagship annual keynote into a premium live broadcast experience that matched the ambition of one of the world's leading gaming companies. Held at Chicago's Arie Crown Theatre and streamed globally on YouTube and Twitch, the presentation served as Epic's biggest annual platform for unveiling new technology, product innovations, and the future of Unreal Engine. Our role was to elevate the event beyond a traditional corporate keynote—bringing creative vision, broadcast expertise, and live production excellence to a presentation designed for developers, partners, media, and audiences around the world.
Done+Dusted delivered creative consultation, production and broadcast services, set design, lighting, site planning, script management, asset and content management, vendor coordination, and overall production leadership, while Epic Games retained responsibility for scripting, creative assets, and speaker management. Throughout production, the project underwent multiple dramatic budget and scope revisions as Epic navigated internal business changes, requiring the team to continually rethink the creative approach without compromising quality. By developing flexible production solutions and introducing a streamlined single-source playback workflow powered by Pixera, Done+Dusted successfully delivered a polished, high-impact presentation for an in-person audience of approximately 2,200 attendees. The result was another standout edition of State of Unreal—reinforcing a six-year creative partnership built on adaptability, innovation, and consistently raising the bar for live technology events.
