Canva Create 2026

For Canva’s first Create keynote with Done+Dusted, the brief was clear: build a launch moment big enough for a major brand inflection point, while keeping the experience inspiring, accessible, and unmistakably Canva.

Held live at YouTube Theater at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and streamed across Canva.com and YouTube, Canva Create 2026 marked the brand’s evolution from a design platform into an AI-powered creative platform. With more than 70 launches announced, the keynote needed to do more than deliver information — it had to translate complex innovation into a high-energy, visually dynamic experience that could land for 5,500 people in the room and audiences watching online.

Done+Dusted led turnkey keynote creative, design, and production across both the in-room experience and livestream. Our scope included the production execution, opening video, talent sourcing and management, wardrobe, broadcast planning, and the overall creative and technical delivery of the show. Working across both 16:9 and 9:16 formats, the team designed a production approach that could serve the room, the livestream, and social platforms simultaneously — maximizing every moment without losing the clarity, color, and energy of Canva’s brand.

The show came together through a series of standout creative choices, including the last-minute addition of a 16-piece live orchestra, which became a powerful through line for the launch messaging. A closing performance by Wolves of Glendale, featuring various other live performers, sent the audience out on a high, while the set design — created with YellowStudio and Julio Himede — brought Canva’s world to life in a way that felt bold, playful, and instantly recognizable.

Following the success of Canva’s World Tour Finale Keynote, Canva Create 2026 marked the next major step in D+D’s growing relationship with Canva — and set the stage for what comes next with Droptober. Executive Produced by Liz Kelly, directed by Tony Grech-Smith, with production design by YellowStudio / Julio Himede, the keynote proved how a product launch can become something bigger: a brand-defining live moment built for the room, the stream, and the creative community watching around the world.
