Hamish Hamilton has directed all of the ten most watched televisions shows in US broadcasting history. As director of the Super Halftime show from 2010 to present he holds this impressive record. He has garnered Eleven Emmy nominations and an Emmy win in 2024 for his direction of Rihanna’s 2023 Super Bowl Halftime.
In 2012 he directed the Television Coverage of four Olympic Ceremonies in London and was awarded two BAFTAs; one a lifetime achievement award for services to British broadcasting, the second for his directing of the 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony.
Hamish is also the only director to have achieved EGOS status having directed 6 Emmys Ceremonies , 3 Grammys, 4 Oscars and 15 Super Bowl Halftime.
During this illustrious career he has captured some seminal moments in American culture including the infamous Kanye West / Taylor Swift stage invasion at the 2007 MTV VMA’s.
