UAEFA President’s Cup Final UAE 2022

D+D Middle East was appointed by our long-term client, the UAE Football Association, to produce the Opening Ceremony of the prestigious President’s Cup Final for the 2021-2022 season.

 

On October 21st, together with our partner Progress Productions, D+D produced and directed the live broadcast creative show and sports presentation surrounding the much-anticipated football game in Hazza Bin Zayed Stadium, Al Ain.

 

The 20-minute Opening Ceremony celebrated the leadership of the UAE and the nation’s impressive achievements. The story was told through beautifully produced video content, projected onto the football pitch and supported by a time-coded laser and lighting show, audio-visual effects, and pyrotechnic displays.

 

Attended by 20,000 football fans, the spectacular Opening Ceremony reflected the energy of the action-packed football match that followed. After 90-minutes, fans saw Sharjah take the championship title defeating Al Wahda with a 1-0 win.

 

Our team also produced the post-match awards ceremony, at its centre a bespoke quick-build awarding stage honouring the prestigious Cup.

 

The ceremony was attended by H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Sheikh Rashid bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, President of the UAE Football Association, and other UAEFA board members.
