MOBO Awards LONDON 2009
The Mobo Awards have become an eagerly anticipated event in the music industry calendar, so it was a great pleasure to be asked to produce their first ever show outside London. Presented by Reggie Yates, Keri Hilson and a certain Latoya Jackson, the show benefited hugely from the exhuberant Glaswegian audience, who enjoyed performances from the likes of JLS, N-Dubz, Kelly Rowland, Jermaine Jackson, Tinchy Stryder and Mr Hudson, plus guest appearances from everyone from Peter Andre (our backstage reporter) to Jessica Ennis and Alexandra Burke. Both the live show on BBC3 and the shorter highlights show on BBC1, broadcast the following night, attracted not only increased viewing figures but also critical acclaim from the music industry.
